Greenwood exists for authors who want a book made with care: one team, a visible path, and a finished object that still belongs to them.

We work the way a small house should.
The name is deliberate. A greenwood is a living stand of trees, not a factory. Books grow the same way when the writing, the edit, the design, and the release are allowed to belong to each other.
Authors come to 2401 Mission Street with a finished draft, a rough one, or a story that has not been written down yet. We do not ask for an agent, and we do not ask you to give up the copyright in exchange for the work. Greenwood is a publishing service. The book remains yours.
The studio is in the Mission District of San Francisco. The authors are everywhere. The process is the same either way: a conversation, a scope you can read, and a team that stays on the project.
Keep the voice
Ghostwriting and editing are judged by whether the book still sounds like the author. Polish that erases the person is a failed job.
Finish the object
A manuscript is not a book until it has a cover, an interior, and a way for a reader to find it. We stay through that last part.
